Dreamscape Amsterdam 2010
march 13 - march 21 2010
Opening reception: to be announced Location: Loods 6 Amsterdam, The Netherlands
The Dreamscape exhibition is presenting a new and exciting edition in March 2010 after the huge success in November 2008 which attracted over a thousand visitors to the vernissage. Over fifty international artists have participated in the previous exhibition, from Michael Parkes, Michael Cheval, Peter Gric to Daniel Merriam, Bruno di Maio and many others. Under the collective name Imaginary Realism, Dreamscape is presenting leading artists working in the style of magic realism, surrealism and fantastic realism. The new Dreamscape exhibition, taking place from 13 – 21 March 2010 in Loods 6 in Amsterdam, will again offer the opportunity to get acquainted with new masters and the best imaginary realism of today.
Using an ever growing network of artists and art collectors, Marcel Salome (Re-Art) and Ella Buzo (Cabinodd) have joined forces in developing a renewed Dreamscape concept by organizing large scale group exhibitions and introducing an exciting combination of imaginary realism in the Netherlands. The goal is to offer a strong representation of artists who have stayed true to the techniques and inspirations used by the old masters like Bosch, Breugel, Dalí, Magritte and Delvaux, at the same time continuing the tradition of fantastic and impressive visions. A combination of renowned and new talent with surprising imagery; Dreamscape exhibitions are a must for anybody who wishes to get acquainted with international imaginary realism.
The guest of honour of the new Dreamscape exhibition accompanied by the presentation of the new Dreamscapes book, is the Russian artist Viktor Safonkin whose fiery painting technique and imagination are considered leading within the field. Other participating artists in the new Dreamscape exhibition will be announced in the next few months. Until then, have a look at the available books about imaginary realism at www.imaginaryrealism.com and enhance your book collection.
